Faf99 Emma Stone Easy A Movie Poster PhotosRough sex against a bedroom wall, hard butt slaps and the loudest moans you can imagine were featured in one of many sexual escapades in this teen comedy drama—except it was all a ruse.

Easy A stars Emma Stone as Olive, a high school teen who is book smart, but barely anyone at school even knows she exists. One lie to her hussy best friend quickly spawns off her popularity, making her a favourite with the guys and a major enemy to the girls. When reading The Scarlet Letter, Olive is accused of being like the protagonist in the novel. Olive decides to live up to the reputation by adding a red \”A\” on her new loose clothes.

This film features a phenomenal supporting cast; Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci are a hilarious pair as Olive’s parents. Tucci\’s line of \”I\’d put a bullet between my eyes for you, I\’d slit my throat for you,\” was great over the top sarcasm that they used throughout the movie. Thomas Haden Church was funny and sagely as Olive\’s teacher. Lisa Kudrow switched between comedy and serious so well, that it really takes you by surprise when it happens. Amanda Bynes as Olive\’s highly-religious nemesis and Malcolm McDowell as Olive\’s principal added to the strong performances.

While boosting the popularity of gay, repugnant and nerdy guys with fake sexual stories, eventually Olive longs for that John Hughes stud in all of his classic 80\’s movies. This is where it becomes a relationship movie as Olive has continuous run-ins with her long-time crush Todd (Penn Badgley), who is the hunk she always wanted to kiss, but never did. The homage to Hughes\’ movies are a nice touch, although many teens today have probably never seen or heard of The Breakfast Club or Some Kind of Wonderful.

Easy A is a fun teen relationship flick that is mainly filled with ridiculous sophomoric behaviour and has a bit of a soft side to it. Not to be compared with one of Hughes\’ classics, but definitely worth a couple of laughs.

WrestleMania 42 Card Takes Shape as Randy Orton Bloodies Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton sat across from Cody Rhodes at the WrestleMania 42 contract signing, told him everything he wanted to hear, and then kicked him in the groin, smashed his head between a steel chair and the ring steps, and left him bleeding while holding the WWE Championship. That is how you build a WrestleMania main event. Dave Simon and Genesis Johnny North watched it unfold live, simultaneously booking out the full 13-match card across two nights. They also previewed every match on the AEW Revolution card, splitting on the main event — Dave picks Hangman Page, Johnny picks MJF in the Texas Death Match. Plus: Seth Rollins’ masked army gets torched, Danhausen’s curse works, and Team Canada falls to the USA in the WBC quarterfinals.

UFC Freedom 250 Exposes the UFC’s Broken Promise Machine

The UFC promised us the greatest card in history for the White House event. Six or seven title fights. Jon Jones. Conor McGregor. Francis Ngannou. What we actually received was UFC Freedom 250 — a card with Topuria vs Gaethje and Pereira vs Gane, but no superstars, no superfights, and the quiet confirmation that Jon Jones will never fight in the UFC again. This week, Jones fired back at Dana White on Twitter revealing he was actively negotiating and received stem cell treatment. Ronda Rousey went scorched earth on the streaming model. And the Conor Benn Zufa Boxing payday exposed how dramatically the UFC undervalues its own fighters. Dave Simon calls it what it is: over-promising and under-delivering.
