WWE Summerslam: The Road to the Main Event

Solo Sikoa Roasts Reigns Before SummerSlam 2024

Solo Sikoa’s bold disrespect towards Roman Reigns has The Bloodline on high alert as they head into SummerSlam 2024. Sikoa calls out Reigns as a dictator and says he’s stifling his growth and will remove him as Head of the Table. This internal conflict has everyone in The Bloodline caught in the crossfire. Sikoa is confident and well prepared and says he’s meant to be the leader, while Reigns is warning of severe consequences. The Ringside Report Universe is on the edge of its seat, waiting for the power shift. Get more on this growing feud and their big match.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

One of the best matches at Summerslam is CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre, with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. Dave Simon is looking forward to this match:

Rash Guards

“CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at Summerslam is going to be big. It’s a big test for Punk after being out since the Royal Rumble. I want to see how he handles McIntyre’s toughness”

Championship Matches

Summerslam 2024 will have several title matches, including Cody defending the WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa and Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley. Simon said:

“Cody against Solo Sikoa and Liv Morgan against Rhea Ripley are matches that could really change everything in WWE. These are must see matches”

Other Matches

The card also has Sami Zayn defending the Intercontinental title against Bron Breakker, Logan Paul defending the United States Championship against LA Knight and Damian Priest defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. Simon said:

“Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker will be a good match. And I’m looking forward to LA Knight vs. Logan Paul. There’s a lot of room for great storytelling here”.

Johnny North’s Notes

Johnny North talked about the build to Summerslam and the character dynamics:

“I think the build has been good, especially with the Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio drama. It’s added a new layer to their characters, but I don’t like how it’s being done”.

WWE Raw Review

CM Punk’s Return

CM Punk’s return to Raw was the top moment of the week. Dave Simon said the scene with Punk calling out Drew McIntyre was great:

“Punk calls out Drew McIntyre and then Adam Pearce sets up the match for Summerslam with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. It was big and set everything up”).

Judgment Day Drama

The Judgment Day saga continued to unfold with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio at the center of it. Johnny North doesn’t like the direction:

“The Rhea and Dominik storyline went off the rails with the addition of Liv Morgan. It doesn’t make sense with their characters and feels forced”.

WWE SmackDown Review

Tag Team Gauntlet Highlights

The Tag Team Gauntlet Match was high stakes as teams fought for a shot at DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The match showcased great tag team dynamics with familiar teams like The Street Profits and The Bloodline. But the surprise team of Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews stole the show, though they lost to The Street Profits. The match had some great eliminations, with Pretty Deadly targeting and The Bloodline being dominant. In the end, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga won, and DIY had a big match coming for them. It showed how the tag team division is about alliances and surprise teams.

Main Event: Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley and Meechan

The main event was Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley and Meechan. Simon said the finish:

“Tiffany Stratton hit Bayley with a briefcase and Nia Jax got the win with a bonsai drop. It was a weird main event and it ended with a controversy”.

AEW All In: The Build

MJF vs. Will Ospreay

In AEW, the main event of All In will be MJF vs. Will Ospreay. This match has been building for a while, and both men are incredible in the ring. Dave Simon is looking forward to it:

“MJF vs. Will Ospreay is going to be two of the best in AEW. I’m looking forward to see how they mesh”.

AEW Dynamite Review

Blood and Guts Match

The Blood and Guts topped the AEW Dynamite match. Johnny North said:

“The Blood and Guts match was great. The double ring and cage setup led to some big spots, Anthony Bowens took some nasty bumps”.

Storylines

The AEW storylines are building to All In. Simon said:

“AEW is doing a great job building up to All In. The storylines are good and the matches announced so far look great”.

UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House

Colby’s Gone, Dana’s Wrong, and UFC Freedom 250 Has Real Problems

Three stories are colliding in MMA right now, and none of them are particularly flattering for the sport. Colby Covington is out of the UFC after going once-a-year for five years and losing four of his last six — then finding himself off the White House guest list despite being Trump’s loudest MMA supporter for a decade. Trump’s actual favorite fighter? Khabib. UFC Freedom 250 is June 14 on the White House lawn with Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira vs. Cyril Gane, but the UFC is running its own judges with no government athletic commission in place, it’s going to be 80-plus degrees outside with insects swarming the lights, and 50,000 people are watching on outdoor screens nearby. And Dana White told Time magazine that people who talk about their mental health publicly are giving young men permission to be weak. It’s the most dangerous thing he’s said in years — and the most revealing.

UFC 329 event featuring McGregor and Max Holloway

McGregor vs. Holloway at UFC 329: The Rematch, the Odds, and Why MVP MMA 1 Made the UFC Look Untouchable

Conor McGregor is officially back. UFC 329, July 11, 2026, T-Mobile Arena — McGregor versus Max Holloway in a welterweight rematch at 170 pounds. The UFC announced it mid-MVP MMA 1, which was either perfect timing or a mercy kill depending on how you look at it. Because MVP MMA 1 was not the show the sport needed. Ronda Rousey submitted Gina Carano in 17 seconds, then retired on the microphone. Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou were involved in mismatches. The broadcast felt decades behind. Meanwhile, the UFC is heading into the most ambitious summer in company history — Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14th, Makhachev vs. Gaethje for the lightweight title, Pereira vs. Gane for the interim heavyweight belt, and a full UFC 329 card built around the return of the sport’s biggest star. The gap between the real sport and everything else has never looked wider.
