WWE Bragging Rights 2009


1st annual Bragging Rights PPV by World Wrestling Entertainment. Bragging Rights is replacing WWE: Cyber Sunday. No more vote on the different matches only Bragging Rights for brand supremacy between RAW and Smackdown.
Due to his recent Bells Palsy attack, Jim Ross is not at ringside. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Todd Grisham will announce the show tonight. No ECW matches so no ECW announcers.
The winning brand of the RAW VS. Smackdown matches will receive a Bragging Rights trophy live at Bragging Rights.
1st match- The Miz VS. John Morrison
Both Team RAW and Team Smackdown are shown watching this match backstage. Miz and JoMo talk trash before some chain wrestling to start. Morrison shows he is the stronger of the two as Miz rolls to the outside. Miz comes back with a cheap shot, but Morrison quickly turns the tables and nails a beautiful standing shooting star press for a two. Morrison gets knocked out of the ring, but comes back in and gets a roll up for a two. Morrison boots Miz out of the ring who in turn throws Morrison out when Miz counters a headscissors. Miz tries to ground Morrison who uses his flexibility to nail a mule kick, but Miz suddenly becomes more powerful and nails a big clothesline and a knee to the head. Sleeper time. Morrison comeback consists of a leg lariat, forearms and his springboard kick but Miz gets his foot on the rope. Morrison goes for Starship Pain, but Miz goes to the outside, Morrison nails him with a corkscrew on the outside. Morrison goes for a superplex but gets pushed off and eats a double axe handle smash from Miz. Miz goes for Skull Crushing Finale but Morrison counters. Morrison tries to nail Starship Pain again, however Miz sweeps his legs and gets the three.
Winner- The Miz, 1-0 RAW over Smackdown
Backstage Cody Rhodes is being cocky. R-Truth tells him it’s not over yet. Cody says he is better than R-Truth. R-Truth says the only reason Cody is on RAW is because of his dad Dusty Rhodes. Big Show comes up from behind and says Jericho taught him well and he knows Smackdown and the RAW way is different. Show says they will prove that tonight.
Melina & Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly VS. Michelle McCool & Natalya & Beth Phoenix
Beth and Kim start off with Beth using her power and Kim using her speed to get a rollup for a two. Beth nails a clothesline and tags in McCool who tags in Natalya. Natalya misses the elbow and a charge into the corner, leaving her open for a modified spear. Kelly tags in but quickly gets worked over by Natalya. McCool tags herself in and stomps away at Kelly. Phoenix tags in and locks in a modified chin lock. McCool makes her way back in and dominates Kelly. Kelly is finally able to make the tag to Melina who comes in and cleans house on Phoenix, hitting a big dropkick and a drop toe hold into the ropes.  Beth hits Melina with a suplex but Melina turns it into a roll up. McCool counters for a two. Phoenix nails Melina with an implant buster for three to win.
Winners-Smackdown Divas, 1-1 Raw and Smackdown
Team RAW backstage realizing now that it’s winner takes all in their tag match now. Jack Swagger says he is Team RAW by himself. DX then insults all of Team RAW and that Swagger can be replaced. Hornswoggle shows up and DX changes their tune. They all come together to say RAW at the end.
World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker VS. Batista VS. CM Punk VS. Rey Mysterio
Punk jumps Mysterio before going to the outside.  He comes back into the ring where he forces the Undertaker to hit Batista with a clothesline.  Undertaker throws Punk over the top rope to the outside, where Mysterio hits a seated senton.  Batista and Undertaker square off for a bit.  Undertaker then nails Mysterio with a big boot before working over Batista’s arm.  Taker with old school on Batista and to Mysterio for another old school, but he gets sent down by Punk. Punk nails a superplex on Taker,  Mysterio goes for a quick cover but Punk breaks it up.  Batista comes back into the match, hitting a huge slam on Punk but he quickly falls victim to a big boot from Taker. Taker goes for the last ride on Mysterio but Batista connects with a spear. Batista and Rey Mysterio hit a 619/spinebuster combo, but CM Punk breaks up Batista’s pin attempt. Punk connects with a go to sleep on Mysterio but Batista breaks it up.  Undertaker locks in Hell’s gate on Batista but CM Punk breaks it up.  Punk stomps on Batista before connecting with his running knee in the corner on Taker.  Taker holds on and hits the last ride on Punk, but Batista breaks up the pin. Taker with a big chokeslam on Batista.  He goes for the pin but Punk breaks it up again. Punk kicks away at his knees to break it up, but Taker sends Punk to the outside over the top rope.  Taker signals for the tombstone, but Batista bomb. Mysterio breaks it up and goes for a cover of his own.  Batista and Mysterio argue and Batista shoves Rey down to the outside.  Undertaker connects with a chokeslam on Batista but Batista kicks out.  Batista catches Mysterio and he throws him on top of Punk. Batista turns around into a tombstone from Taker for three.
Winner- Undertaker retains World Title
Mysterio is asked how it feels to come so close to winning the World Championship.  Mysterio says that he and Batista did their best to help each other out. Josh Matthews asks a disappointed Batista how he is. Batista asks if they think they were close.  Batista says he doesn’t think they were close, he thinks he was close, and that he’s tired of coming close. Batista says he’s not playing and nails a clothesline on Mysterio. Batista screams in Rey’s face.  Batista throws Mysterio into the barricade as officials break up the chaos. Big Tuna was right with his heel Batista prediction.
Team RAW VS. Team Smackdown
Chris Jericho’s music plays and he makes his way out. Followed by co-captain Kane. Smackdown’s theme song hits and the rest of the team makes their way down. The referee holds the Bragging Rights trophy in the middle of the ring. Cody hits Truth with a quick kick,  Truth hits a big back kick, but he gets caught with a big back elbow.  Kane squares off with Big Show. Kane nails some strikes and a kick, avoids a Big Show splash in the corner and hits a lariat. Show tags in Swagger. Kane comes back with a big right and tags in Matt Hardy.  Hardy comes in and smashes Swagger’s head into the turnbuckle and hitting a big clothesline.  Henry gets tagged in and uses his strength on Hardy. HBK comes in and eats a side effect. Finlay tagged in. Finlay uses his power but HBK nails Sweet Chin Music. DH Smith tags in and nail the Hart Attack. Jericho mocks HBK. Hart Dynasty work over HBK until HHH comes back with a big comeback. Kane with a chokeslam on HHH. Jericho goes for a lionsault but HHH moves. Kingston tagged in who comes in and works over Jericho with a dropkick, lariat and boom drop.  Jericho blocks the boom drop and almost locks in the walls of Jericho. Kofi fights out and is able to connect with trouble in paradise.  Big brawl ensues. Kofi goes up and Big Show grabs him by the throat and hits a chokeslam. Show hits the knockout punch on HHH and leaves. Jericho pins Kofi.
Winners- Team Smackdown get the Bragging Rights trophy
Backstage Cody blames Kofi for the loss. Cody throws Kofi into a wall.
WWE Championship Iron Man No DQ Match-If Cena loses leaves RAW-Orton loses no rematch
John Cena VS. Randy Orton- Lock up. Orton gets the over. Lots of stomps and punches by Orton early on. Out of nowhere Cena locks in the STF, Orton taps.
1-0 Cena
Orton wears down Cena. Cheats a lot. Typical heel cheating. Cena fights back with a blockbuster and nails a leg drop to the back of Orton’s neck. Cena goes for Five Knuckle Shuffle, but RKO out of nowhere for three.
1-1
Action to the outside. Orton slams Cena’s head into steps and apron. Whacks Cena with a monitor for two. Orton hits Cena with a mic and busts him open on PG programming. Clock is stopped to due the bleeding. Cena jumps Orton and clocks continues. Orton goes for RKO, Cena comes back with Superman comeback. Cena with the Attitude Adjustment, but reversed into an RKO. Both men cover each other for pins.
2-2
Cena hits a quick Attitude Adjustment for a three.
3-2 Cena
Legacy come down and Dibiase nails Dream Street. Orton pins Cena.
3-3
Kofi with a chair comes down and chases off Legacy. Cena has the advantage to start again. They start to fight in the tech area, Cena goes into a light and a big explosion happens. Orton pins Cena for three.
4-3 Orton
Orton hits Cena with a chair and starts to work the pyro controls. Orton gets pissed and hits the button hard and lots of pyro goes off. Cena got out of the way. Orton nails Cena with steel steps but Cena kicks out.  Orton sends Cena into the ring. Cena with a small package for three.
4-4
Orton is mad. Orton gets Cena in a DDT position and sends him crashing to the floor head first. Orton pins Cena for three.
5-4 Orton
Orton stomps. Lots of pin attempts by Orton. Orton runs away when Cena becomes Superman a few times. In the crowd fighting. Cena and Orton make their way to the announcer’s table. Cena picks up Orton and Attitude Adjustment off the steps through the announcer’s table for three.
5-5
Cena went for another pin but Orton kicked out. Cena gets a table from under the ring. Cena puts Orton on table. Cena off top with a leg drop but Orton moves. Punches back and forth. Cena accidently hits the ref. RKO. No ref. Orton attacks new ref. Orton goes for a punt, but Cena locks in STF. Ref sees the tap out with four seconds left.

Winner- John Cena to become new WWE champion
