Episode 9- May 21, 2012
Delson “Pe De Chumbo” Heleno (23-6, Team Wanderlei) will face Sergio “Serginho” Moraes (6-1, Team Vitor) on this episode. Pe De Chumbo was selected 2nd by Team Wanderlei, 3rd overall in the draft while Serginho was picked 7th by Team Vitor, 14th overall.
Wanderlei Silva says Pe De Chumbo is a jiu-jitsu master and is the oldest competitor in the house at 34 years old.
Pe De Chumbo says he started training in capoeira, he then began training in jiu-jitsu. Pe De Chumbo is one of eight children.
Vitor Belfort says Serginho is “fantastic on the ground.”
Serginho says he used to be a bus driver to afford his training. Serginho says he is fighting to improve the lives of his parents and children.
Anderson Silva comes to the TUF gym to meet and train with Team Wanderlei. Anderson Silva has already defeated Vitor Belfort and tells Wanderlei to move forward because Belfort is a “coward.” Team Wanderlei is very happy to have Anderson in the gym. Anderson Silva will be staying to watch the Pe De Chumbo v. Serginho fight.
Delson “Pe De Chumbo” Heleno (23-6, Team Wanderlei) v. Sergio “Serginho” Moraes (6-1, Team Vitor) TUF Brazil Middleweight Tournament Quarter-Final
Round 1- Heleno lands a right hand in a tentative first minute. Serginho initiates a clinch but takes knees and punches to the body. Serginho hits Heleno with a knee to the groin and the action is momentarily stopped. Heleno lands a leg kick but Serginho catches the leg and takes him down. Serginho tries to work from the guard but Heleno pushes him off with a strong guard defense. Heleno stays on the ground and lands kick to the legs but Serginho gets back on top of him. Serginho gets a mount and Heleno gives up his back. Serginho scores punches from the back mount and looks for a rear-naked choke. Serginho works hard to sink in a rear-naked choke and Heleno is forced to submit.

Team Vitor has now qualified 7 of 8 possible semi-final spots including all 4 middleweights and 3 of 4 featherweights.
Dana White has a video-conference with Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva to tell them that some Team Vitor fighters will move to Team Wanderlei to train for their semi-final fights against their current teammates. White says Vitor can choose which fighters he wants to send to the other team. Vitor Belfort says he does not want to give up any of his fighters. Belfort asks White if there is anything else he can do. White tells Belfort that if he can’t pick the fighters, White will pick for him.
Vitor and Wanderlei both cry when they break the news to their teams.
Wanderlei announces that featherweight Vina Pancini and middleweight Renee Forte are being forced to move to Team Vitor. Wanderlei tells the other middleweights to draw a name out of a hat to see who else will leave the team. Pe De Chumbo draws the wrong name and is forced to go to Team Vitor.
Vitor Belfort says Thiago Bodao and Serginho will have to go to Team Wanderlei. Pepey and Rodrigo Damm are also moving to Team Wanderlei.
All the fighters are emotional in saying goodbye to their coaches and teammates.
