Rivera sweeps Manley and almost secures a rear-naked choke but Manley escapes and manages to land on top of Rivera in a scramble. I would score Round 1 for Jon Manley: 10-9 but it was very close and could have been a draw or awarded to Rivera.

Manley manages to finally get Rivera to the mat and passes into side-control. Rivera attempts a reverse triangle but Manley escapes and mounts Rivera. Manley throws punches and attempts a rear-naked choke as Rivera gives up his back and time expires. I would score Round 2 for Jon Manley: 10-9
Jon Manley def. Joey Rivera via majority decision (20-18, 20-18, 19-19) to advance to semi-finals of TUF 16 Welterweight Tournament
Rivera is disappointed with his performance and feels he didn’t give it his all. Manley says he was afraid to really exchange with Rivera because “in practice, he beats my ass.”
Mike Ricci says things have been “weird” in the house between he and Michael Hill. Ricci hears Hill joking about putting laxatives in his food. Ricci confronts him about it but Hill denies it. Michael Hill and Mike Ricci exchange words. Hill tells Ricci he is going to regret picking him to fight.
Mike Ricci says Michael Hill is “weak-minded” and will never be a champion.
Hill says his game-plan against Ricci will be to be aggressive and set the pace of the fight. Hill says he wants to make the fight as short as possible and is looking for the knockout.

Ricci lands a punch to the face in the clinch and is able to pull Hill down to the mat. Ricci scores punches and elbows from within Hills’s guard and passes into half-guard. Ricci continues to punch Hill’s face as he tries to pass into side-control. Hill gets Ricci back in his guard but continues to eat good punches and elbows. Hill tries to push Ricci away with his legs and get to his feet but Ricci keeps Hill grounded and passes nicely into a back-mount. Hill scrambles and escapes but cannot get to his feet and Ricci stays on his back. Ricci pummels Hill with punches and elbows as the round comes to a close. I would score Round 1 for Mike Ricci: 10-9
Round 2- Hill charges in with punches but Ricci ducks and takes him down. Hill is able to get to his feet and attempts a guillotine choke but Ricci escapes and takes Hill down. Ricci passes into side-control and then into back-mount. Ricci lands punches and looks to sink in a rear-naked choke but Hill defends. Ricci continues to land punches on Hill’s back. Ricci beats up on Hill with more punches from the back and maintains control of Hill who tries desperately to escape and get back to his feet. Hill tries to stand up with Ricci on his back and almost falls victim to a rear-naked choke. Hill rolls out of the attempt but Ricci follows and hangs on. Hill finally manages to get Ricci off and get back to his feet but there are only 13 seconds remaining. Ricci clinches Hill against the cage as the fight comes to a close. I would score Round 2 for Mike Ricci: 10-9
