Some say AJ D’Alesio’s fight predictions come from left field. Others say they come from another dimension entirely. But like a broken clock that’s right twice a day, when AJ’s unconventional picks hit, they hit big—much to the delight (and bank accounts) of Ringside Report Network viewers who’ve learned to appreciate his unique perspective on combat sports.
Don’t let the seemingly random “facts and assertions” fool you—AJ brings over four decades of legitimate martial arts expertise to the microphone. His journey began in 1982 with Japanese Karate and Judo, evolved through Greco-Roman Wrestling in high school, and culminated in an impressive collection of black belts and championships that would make even the most seasoned fighters take notice.
As a 6th Dan Black Belt in Jow Ga Kung Fu under Master Sing Ming Li “The Savage” (20+ years), AJ has mastered one of traditional Chinese martial arts’ most practical combat systems. But it’s his 14+ years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that really sets him apart—training under legends like 6x Brazilian Champion Fabio “Mastermind” Holanda and UFC/Pride FC Champion Murilo Bustamante, AJ earned his 3rd Stripe Brown Belt and backed it up with IBJJF World Championship gold medals in both Montreal (2013) and Boston (2014).
From Muay Thai with World Champion Coach Sana Miloschevtich to MMA training under Nino Bezerra, AJ’s resume reads like a combat sports encyclopedia. He’s rolled with Brazilian Top Team, trained at Montreal Wrestling Club, and even shared seminar mats with Pride/UFC legend Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva.
When he’s not delivering his signature off-the-wall analysis on Ringside Report Network’s live shows, AJ has been sharing his knowledge as a youth coach through YMCA’s Ninja Kids Club and senior martial arts programs. His diverse background spanning striking, grappling, and wrestling makes him uniquely qualified to break down fights across the entire combat sports spectrum—even if his methods are, shall we say, unconventional.
Whether he’s dissecting the latest UFC card or dropping one of his infamous “I read somewhere” gems, AJ brings the perfect blend of legitimate expertise and entertaining unpredictability that keeps Ringside Report Network audiences coming back for more. After all, in a world of predictable analysis, sometimes you need someone willing to go against the grain—especially when that grain occasionally leads to gold.
