A monster of a man shrieking in pain as he is engulfed in flames was one of many moments covered on Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling’s latest DVD release, TNA Wrestling: Greatest Moments.
From 2007 to Hardcore Justice 2010, this DVD gives you more than three hours of the most exciting moments in TNA’s recent history. Starting with the arrival of The Immortal Hulk Hogan to TNA, and followed by his two matches in a tag team affair against Ric Flair and AJ Styles. The DVD not only features clips and highlights from TNA Impact!, but several moments from pay-per-view events as well.
Giant debuts from World Wrestling Entertainment, TNA stars capturing championship belts, the top 10 moments in TNA history voted by the fans, and much more is featured. Fans of Kurt Angle, Sting, Flair and Styles will appreciate the amount of exposure they all receive. Although Flair has only been in TNA for less than a year, he has clearly made important contributions towards enhancing TNA’s product to compete with WWE.
While the majority of the DVD focuses on the current TNA talent, TNA did acknowledge talent that is no longer with the company; giving absolute respect to Booker T’s debut, the introduction of The Band to TNA, and the one-year run of The Main Event Mafia. One of Mick Foley’s interview helps to understand the use of past talent when he talks about a building block to a much larger puzzle.
All of the interviews in the DVD are in kayfabe, honest or a mix of both. Angle stays in character, but does tell how one of his kids liked how he had all the TNA titles at once. Hogan, Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff, and many others all have their own interviews made for the DVD, they also show past interviews from PPVs and Impact! as well.
This DVD is meant for fans that are not familiar with TNA and have missed out on the past three years. Not meant for you if you want complete matches. By the end of the DVD you should have a fair idea of the TNA product. However, if you miss one episode of TNA Impact! you will be completely lost.
