Daniel Bryan continues to be the reason to buy wrestling DVDs as his champion versus champion match against Dolph Ziggler at WWE: Bragging Rights 2010 not only started the show it stole the show.
Bryan, the World Wrestling Entertainment U.S. Champion, mixes the perfect combination of speed, technical ability and high-flying. Far from the tallest or largest physical specimen in WWE, Bryan is the underdog that has tremendous heart and determination. Ziggler, the WWE Intercontinental Champion, has never looked so good on a WWE pay-per-view before and played his cocky character role better than ever before during his match.
The WWE Tag Team Championship match featuring Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre against David Otunga and John Cena pales in comparison in terms of the wrestling and drama put forth in the first match. However, Cena fans will love to see him manage through overwhelming odds. Goldust against Ted Dibiase is a solid match-up, not the best but both work very hard to draw you into their story. Natalya against Layla of LayCool is a typical Divas match in WWE.
The end of the Undertaker in WWE may have possibly gone down at Bragging Rights. Not only did Taker get buried followed his Buried Alive match with Kane, in an extra on the DVD Taker is shown walking in a dark hallway that ends with Taker walking into a bright white light. The other DVD exclusive features a funny interview with Team Smackdown following the RAW VS. Smackdown 7-on-7 elimination match. Surprisingly this match was not saved for Survivor Series as it is suited best for that themed PPV.
The main event was Randy Orton defending the WWE Championship against Wade Barrett with John Cena in Barrett’s corner. Cena lost at Hell in a Cell 2010 so he had to join Nexus and do what Barrett says or Cena is fired. Barrett told Cena before the match that if he does not win Cena gets fired. During the match, the combatants spent time eyeballing Cena to highlight Cena’s expressions and leave the audience pondering what Cena’s motivates are. While Barrett and Orton compete against each other, the lingering feeling of Cena interfering in the match haunts the audience throughout.
