Instinct MMA 4 Headliner already booked! Steve Bosse vs. Renato “Babalu” Sobral in Montreal in May.

Send to Kindle

President of Instinct MMA Stephane Patry, has done it again! Bringing top tier caliber MMA superstars to Quebec to treat the fans with the best MMA action possible. Quebec MMA’s current biggest draw, Steve Bosse (9-1), will take on yet another marquee name in the world of mixed martial arts in Renato “Babalu” Sobral (36-10).

Bosse  is coming off a huge victory over Houston Alexander at Instinct MMA’s inaugural show last October. With that victory Bosse adds Alexander to his resume of notable victories that include Wes Sims and Marvin Eastman. However, now “The Boss” is definitely stepping up in competition, and taking on his toughest test to date when he takes on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt, Renato “Babalu” Sobral in May.

Sobral has become one of the most recognizable names in MMA since his debut in 1997 fighting in UFC, STRIKEFORCE, and Affliction. With notable victories over Maurice Smith, Rameau Thierry Sokudjou, Trevor Prangley, Mike Van Arsdal, Jeremy Horn, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (twice), Chael Sonnen and Robbie Lawler; not to mention he’s gone toe-to-toe with Gegard Mousasi, Dan Henderson, Chuck Liddell and Fedor Emelianenko. The Former STRIKEFORCE Light Heavyweight champion was last seen in a losing effort to #2 P4P ranked Dan Henderson, but is currently working hand in hand with Wanderlei Silva as part of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil reality show, and will be cornered by Heavyweight star Fabricio Werdum for this bout. Interesting enough, that late December of 2011, Sobral apparently signed an exclusivity deal with Singaporean MMA promotion ONE FC, and is slated to fight on their March 31st card against Melvin Manhoef.

The exact date and venue of Instinct 4 has yet to be determined, nor have any other bouts been announced. Rumors are circulating that event is slated for May 5th at the Bell Centre. Instinct MMA President Stephane Patry is scheduled to appear on Ringside Report Radio Wednesday, February 22nd to give further details on both Instinct 3 March 31st and Instinct 4.
