Following his win over Munoz, Weidman called out UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. As Weidman stands in line, his perfect UFC record of 5-0 with three finishes including notable wins over two Top 10 ranked Middleweights in Damian Maia and Mark Munoz, a Submission and  Knockout of the Night honors, he makes a strong case for a future shot.
