Bloodstained Memoirs features exclusive interviews with an all-star pro wrestling cast of Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Ultimo Dragon, Nora Greenwald (Molly Holly), Keiji Muto (The Great Muta) and Rob Van Dam.

The documentary is very dated (2005) and was dubbed as “The most anticipated wrestling documentary of all-time,” for the shocking comments made by some of the stars. While the interviews lack direction at times, there is no question that fans will be stunned by what they hear. Steroids, tragic deaths, and crooked higher-ups in the business are just a few of the interesting topics discussed.

It’s obvious that the director/filmmaker wrote down a series of questions and never swayed away from his script, no matter what the answer was from the wrestler. Roddy Piper was definitely one of the highlights of the documentary as he gave great insight on how the industry has changed from getting ahead by being talented to scripted nonsense. He talked about wrestlers purposely hurting other wrestlers physically and there was some juicy stuff there. That specific subject was very interesting and could have been elaborated on, but the subject is changed randomly to Bret Hart for no reason. Other wrestlers on the DVD give some interesting insight on different subjects pertaining to wrestling, while others are lackluster. It is disappointing that Chris Jericho simply discusses Fozzy on a “wrestling” documentary and as oppose to an interview with Mick Foley, the DVD has footage of him at a book signing.

The filmmaker is clearly a fan/friend of Joe Legend (Just Joe in WWE) as he asked Christian Cage about him as opposed to interesting questions about his own career. The extras (which the DVD is jam-packed with) have Legend in other projects featuring a problem he had with a wrestler and a women of interest for Legend.

Fans of shoot wrestling DVDs will definitely want to pick this up. Despite the faults of a clear direction there is too many must-see interviews that will give even smart fans an informative look at some of their wrestling favourites. Controversial and more negative than positive towards how wrestling federations operate, the DVD will leave you wanting more.

Stone Cold Steve Austin destroying vehicles, WWE action in a subway station, and the near death of Mick Foley on more than one occasion, are a few of 50 shocking moments in WWE history.

WWE has compiled a new countdown for their most shocking moments, entitled OMG! The Top 50 Incidents in WWE history. Now for the first time on home video fans can witness what WWE has decided is the best of the best when it comes to the most outrageous moments ever.

Controversial, amazing, and intense, describes each moment selected. From the Austin 3:16 era to Jake The Snake Roberts unleashing his snake on the late Macho Man Randy Savage, the Top 50 incidents jumps around from one decade to another. A lot of these moments were selected from the Attitude years, so expect a lot of Austin, Rock, HHH, Undertaker, Foley and Shane McMahon showcased. McMahon’s fall from SummerSlam 2000 and his brutal street fight against Kurt Angle from King of the Ring 2001 were only a few OMG moments that Shane-O-Mac had in WWE. Without question the list will spark many debates on what should have been on and what should not be on the list.

The funeral for the Big Show’s father may be an OMG moment to some, but to others it may come off as completely ridiculous and nowhere near OMG material compared to La Resistance nearly killing Spike Dudley on RAW in 2002 or Shane-O-Mac’s leap of faith at Backlash 2001. Jeff Hardy’s huge swanton bomb onto Randy Orton on RAW may be impressive, but it’s only one of many spectacular swantons from Hardy over the years.

As long as you’re a WWE fan this list is intriguing regardless of what made the list or didn’t. The arguments made after watching the DVD set are primarily due to the excitement the list provides. A must have for fans that have not seen a lot of WWE the past 10 years or so and want to see unedited footage that is not PG rated.

Relive the rise to super stardom in the WWE of John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Edge, Randy Orton, and the return of Shawn Michaels in WWE: Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century.

Like past WWE DVDs covering the greatest superstars of the 80′s and 90′s, WWE: Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century covers the WWE stars that made the biggest impact from 2000-2009. More than 20 stars of the past decade are featured in short highlight packages on the first disc while the two other discs are filled with matches. The majority of the commentary comes from the current WWE roster and officials.

Surprisingly WWE showcases talent that no longer works for the company. Brock Lesnar, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle all get their own video bios. Angle’s video does poke fun at Angle being a goof more than his abilities at being a great wrestler though. When it comes to Hardy and Lesnar they are both given their dues for their unique and memorable moments in WWE history. Eddie Guerrero is also given a respectable tribute for his five-year contribution to WWE.

Lesnar VS. Angle in a 60-minute Ironman match for the WWE Championship is the most exciting match on this DVD set as it was quite possibly one of the best WWE television matches of all-time. Great back-and-forth action with brilliant storytelling. Although Lesnar’s career in WWE was short, the Ironman match with Angle may have been his best match. Kane unmasking after his match with HHH is a noteworthy event as it spawned into Kane’s current demonic character.

For most WWE fans this is a trip down a very recent memory lane. New WWE fans will likely benefit from this history lesson if they only tuned in a few years ago. A little disappointed that they did not expand on some of the controversial moments a lot of superstars caused. While The Miz hints at how JBL is a bully and did not like him there was no in-depth reasons to why JBL treated new talent poorly. The WWE portrays a positive light on almost every aspect of their entertainers.

Rey Mysterio is considered by many fans and peers as the greatest high flyer ever in WWE history and now you can find out why in WWE’s newest DVD release, Rey Mysterio The Life of a Masked Man.

Not only do you get more than two dozen matches from Mysterio’s days in Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling and WWE, but matches that have not been shown over and over again on WWE home video. The first disc starts off with the host Matt Stryker asking Mysterio how he got into the business and how big of an impact Konnan had on his start.

Mysterio speaks openly on his rivalry with Juventud Guerrera and his friendship with Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio explains how the WrestleMania 21 match he had with Guerrero did not go as they planned due to Mysterio having problems with his mask in that match. Mysterio states how Guerrero left this world too soon and how hard it was to carry on without him.

Mysterio also speaks openly on his friendship with Batista, how it grew from their personal likes and enjoyment of spending a lot of money. All of Mysterio’s commentary ties into matches as we get matches with Batista and when he talks about his mask we get matches where his mask was in jeopardy against Kane and Chris Jericho.

Watching Mysterio’s matches shows how dangerous his style was earlier in his career. Due to his size, Mysterio was nearly always the underdog who battled back from a huge beating. Once Mysterio makes WWE, he develops a different style that is still battling the odds, but the matches are not completely one-sided for most of the duration.

While not the first Rey Mysterio DVD set to be released, these matches are unique compared to the past release and the new Mysterio interview segments are intriguing enough to make this a must buy for any Mysterio fan or fan of high-flying action. Mysterio has been one of the best high-flyers for so many years now that he could easily fill up another three-disc set. Fans will be more than satisfied with the unique matches shown with Kurt Angle, The World’s Greatest Tag Team, Jericho and how Mysterio battled the odds after losing his partner Hector Garza following a horrible injury.

Christian finally achieved his dream of becoming a WWE World Champion in a dramatic ladder match against Alberto Del Rio at WWE: Extreme Rules 2011, a bout considered for match of the year.

Following his former partner Edge having to retire and to give up the World Heavyweight Championship, Christian had to win a battle royal on Smackdown! in order to win the right to face Del Rio. Christian put a lot of pressure on himself as the ladder match is one he has been in many times, making it feel like it was finally the right time for him to win the championship. With Del Rio going over to Monday Night RAW following Extreme Rules, even more pressure was put on Christian to keep the title on the blue brand.

What made the match so memorable was that despite Christian being in several ladder matches in the past this one did not feel like any other Christian had been in. Perhaps the addition of Del Rio, who had only been in one ladder match prior helped, but Christian also displayed several different ladder tricks that he has never used before.

The last 10 minutes of the match was quite possibly the best ending to a match in a long time. Christian not only had to battle Del Rio, but Del Rio’s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez and Del Rio’s protege Brodus Clay. Although blood is not seen much on WWE home video as of late, Christian busted open Clay with a hard ladder shot. Clay is lying in a pool of his own blood afterwards. Christian also receives several cuts during the match, but nothing too severe. It is a wonder to how Del Rio can still stand after he took a surprising leap of faith from the top rope onto a ladder on the outside. Another of many reasons why the match is a must-see. The DVD includes an exclusive interview with Christian following the event.

In other action, John Cena finally recaptured the WWE Championship after almost a year without holding the title. Cena had to do battle with The Miz and John Morrison in a steel cage match. While Cena was able to get Miz to tap out to his STF submission hold, Morrison looked like he was going to win the match until R-Truth interfered.

With every match given an extreme stipulation the event was quite different compared to WrestleMania XXVII but in a good way. Almost every match felt important in some way due to the extreme stipulations. Rey Mysterio against Cody Rhodes is one of the must-see matches along with the first and only appearance on WWE home video of the giant Kharma as she took out Michelle McCool, who also made her last appearance with WWE at this event.

WWE: Extreme Rules 2011 may have been the best follow-up to a WrestleMania in WWE history. There was no Rock or Stone Cold, but WWE showed with their core roster that they can put on a show that can be unforgettable any day of the week. This is one of the most highly recommended DVDs WWE has released this year. If you have not seen it as a wrestling fan you should watch it and enjoy it ASAP.

(NYSE: WWE) announced today a new business model for future growth, including formally rebranding itself, WWE.

Two key components to WWE’s brand expansion will be the active pursuit to acquire entertainment content companies and the outsourcing of WWE’s core competencies – television and film production, live event production and licensing. As part of the new business model, the company will also focus on the development of new television products including scripted, non-scripted and animated programs, as well as the launch of a new WWE network in the next 12-18 months. The first new program of the brand expansion is Tough Enough®, WWE’s non-scripted program that debuted on the USA Network on Monday.

“The new business model of the company better reflects what WWE is all about, being a global entertainment company,” stated Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO, WWE. “We will always be loyal to our core business that made WWE a globally known entity, however, the future of WWE will be the addition of new entertainment content opportunities beyond the ring.”

This new rebranding initiative will be highlighted through a national consumer and business-to-business advertising campaign entitled “Bigger. Badder. Better.™” The campaign kicked off at WrestleMania® XXVII on Sunday and will be featured on cable TV, print and online.

In addition to focusing on the expansion of the company, the company will bolster its core business with the launch a new talent development department headed by Paul “Triple H®” Levesque. The new department will put a greater emphasis on worldwide recruitment, training and character development to identify future WWE Superstars and Divas. The first recruit acquired under Levesque’s new department was the signing last month of future WWE Superstar, Sin Cara™, formerly known worldwide as Mistico.
