The hottest rising professional wrestling organization, TNA Wrestling, recently released the TNA Sacrifice 2010 DVD which features the dream main-event of Mr. TNA Rob Van Dam defending the TNA World Championship against A.J. Styles.
For years pro wrestling fans have wanted to see RVD VS. Styles and it does not disappoint. RVD’s lethal kicks are more than apparently throughout the match. Styles gets an amazing amount of hang-time on his springboard clothesline and taking a monkey flip out of a corner. The addition of Ric Flair adds an extra excitement towards the commentary of the match and Flair helps contribute to the thrilling finish of the match.
Eight other matches help complete a stacked card presented by TNA. Four other championship matches are featured, including Tara’s last official match with TNA as she faced Madison Rayne for the TNA Knockout Championship. Douglas Williams against Kazarian was a solid X-Division match for the X-Division Title that saw Kaz tried to match Williams move for move. Williams easily hit the most dangerous move of the night in this match with his powerbomb into a corner.
The former Wolfpac members, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash reunited to defend their TNA Tag Team Titles against the brand new team of Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal, who are known as Ink Inc. TNA is able to recapture a 1998 moment as Nash and Hall come out to music that is identical to their old theme in wCw that had a wolf howling at the beginning.
Jeff Hardy battles the former Mr. Kennedy, who is now known as Mr. Anderson in TNA. Anderson’s promo before the match is phenomenal. Anderson clearly is one of the best if not the best at promos in all of professional wrestling. The match between Hardy and Kennedy is a back-and-forth affair that ends in a very dramatic fashion.
Unlike the following match which was just a complete one-sided brawl. Sting destroyed Jeff Jarrett before the match started and left Jarrett a bloody mess. Sting’s assault on Jarrett was so bad that it provoked Hulk Hogan to get involved. This DVD really shows how Sting is easily one of the most feared individuals in TNA and a serious threat for the Hogan regime.
The DVD starts off with an excellent three-way tag team match that not only shows that Team 3D, formerly the Dudley Boyz, are still one of the greatest tag teams today, but The Motor City Machineguns and Beer Money Inc. are becoming top tier tag teams. Each team displayed their own unique brand of offence and showed why tag team wrestling should be a prominent division.
The extras on the DVD features post-match interviews from Desmond Wolfe, The Guns, Rob Terry, Desmond Wolfe, Eric Young and RVD. Also included in the extras is a photo gallery of the most exciting moments on Sacrifice 2010 and a music video featuring all the major highlights.
