Jeremy Prophet competing at ToW 5 for tag team gold

The biggest Montreal professional wrestling event so far in 2010 goes down this Friday at Centre Pierre-Charbonneau as Top of the World wrestling federation presents their fifth spectacular.

The show is headlined by former World Wrestling Entertainment World Tag Team Champion and promoter of ToW Slyvain Greiner in a double casket match against Florida Championship Wrestling tryout Darkko and a Quebec Champion named Samson. Grenier stated last night on Ringside Report that “the last man standing” wins the match.

Total Non-Stop Action superstar Hernandez will go one-on-one with Quebec legend Pierre Carl Ouellet. Grenier is looking forward to this match as both men have similar styles. Kevin McKough stated last night that both men like to jump from high up, Hernandez with his suicide dive to the outside and PCO with his cannonball off the top rope. If it happens fans will get their money’s worth.

In other action, TNA superstar Samoa Joe returns from his kidnapping to face Quebec wrestler Franky the Mobster. Former WWE superstar Big Daddy V aka Mabel is in action against Quebec wrestler Steve Rush. Quebec legend Edouard Carpentier will be in attendance and will be honoured for his contributions to pro wrestling.

An extreme 10-team battle royal will determine new ToW tag team champions. The favourites going into the match are Jeremy Prophet and Sexxxy Eddy known as Sex Factor. Prophet also had a tryout with FCW and was recently backstage at a TNA house show event. Prophet has already wrestled and defeated Sonjay Dutt, Lanny Poffo and teamed with Mr. Anderson in recent months. Due to his superior wrestling ability and experience wrestling all over Canada and a bit in the United States, Prophet gives his team a clear edge over the competition that will mostly be students from Grenier’s school.

Tickets for ToW are $10 and according to Grenier are nearly all gone. Tickets can be bought at 514-872-6644 or at the door. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. with a free ToW Fanfest in the afternoon and an afterparty at Club La Boom. For more information check out www.towlutte.com for details.
