This is Ringside Report’s live round-by-round coverage of Ringside: Triple Threat live from Centre Claude Robillard in Montreal, Quebec.

Jeff Doyle v. Misha Cirkunov (205 lbs.)

Round 1

Cirkunov charged in with a push kick and several hard punches before scoring a takedown. Doyle stumbled back to his feet but Cirkunov took him down with an anaconda choke. Cirkunov was unable to lock in the choke so he transitioned into a back mount and landing more hard punches. The referee jumped in and pushed Cirkunov off Doyle and stopped the fight.

Aaron Dupuis v. Ion Cherdivara (heavyweight)

Round 1

Cherdivara scored early on a takedown after taking a leg kick. Cherdivara worked some ground and pound in Dupuis’ half guard. Dupuis tried to push him away but Cherdivara postured up and landed some big right hands. Dupuis was unable to escape the position and took one final blow that knocked him out and forced the ref to intervene.

Matt Northcott v. Alex Garcia (170 lbs.)

Round 1

Garcia scored a quick takedown and landed in side-control but Northcutt was able to get back to his feet. The fighters clinched against the cage before Garcia pushed into Northcutt and scored another takedown. Garcia worked some punches in Northcutt’s half guard and tried to break his clinch by slamming his head against the mat. Northcutt held on tightly to Garcia’s arm and head but Garcia stayed on top and landed a clean elbow and punch to the head. Garcia was able to mount Northcutt and land more hard punches. Northcutt was able to push him back into half-guard but Garcia transitioned into side-control and landed more punches. Northcutt escaped and got to his feet. Garcia landed some knees in a muay-thai clinch but slipped when attempting a head kick. Northcutt pounced on his opponent and landed some punches as Garcia tried to regain his composure. Garcia was able to work his was back to his feet and was clinched up against the cage. With less than 1 minute remaining in the round, Garcia executed a judo-style takedown and attempted a kimura armbar. Northcutt was able to hold on and not submit as the round came to an end. Round 2

Before the start of the round, the ringside doctor checked a cut on Garcia’s left eye. The doctor allowed the fight to continue. Garcia opened the round with a spinning back-fist and attempted a takedown on Northcott. Garcia was able to push Northcutt into the cage and drag him down to the mat. Northcutt was able to get back to his feet but Garcia quickly brought him back down, landing in half-guard. Garcia transitioned into a mount but was swept by Northcott. Garcia held onto Northcott in his guard with 2:30 remaining in the round. Garcia held on tightly and even attempted a triangle from the bottom. Northcott was unable to land any clean shots and the referee stood the fighters. Northcott quickly rushed in for a takedown and pinned Garcia against the cage. Garcia attempted a flying arm-bar but Northcott escaped and they got back to their feet. Northcott continued to push his opponent against the cage and landed a single-leg takedown. After another period of inactivity on the ground, the referee stood the fighters. Garcia was bloodied and slow to get to his feet. The fighters exchanged and clinched against the cage as time elapsed in the round. Ringside Report scores Round 2 for Matt Northcott: 10-9

Round 3

Garcia landed an overhand right hand and a left hook before scoring a takedown. Garcia worked some punches to the body from Northcott’s half-guard. Garcia improved his position into a mount and landed several punches from the top. Northcott tried to escape but Garcia stayed on top and landed several punches to his opponent’s face. Garcia continued the beating for over 60 seconds and the referee was forced to stop the bout.

Daniel Boissonneault v. Robert Cuman Biernacki (170 lbs.)

Round 1

Boissonneault scored a leg kick and a flurry of punches in the first minute of the fight. Boissonneault scored several more punches, kicks and knees in the muay-thai clinch. Biernacki was bleeding from the nose as Boissoneault continued to tee off with knees to the face and body of his opponent. Boissonneault ate one right hand but stuffed a takedown attempt by Biernacki and scored a takedown of his own. Biernacki turned the takedown into an armbar attempt but Boissonneault escaped. Biernacki brought his opponent back down with a guillotine choke attempt. Boissonneault escaped the choke but was not out of trouble with Biernacki improving into a back-mount position. Boissonneault was able to fight out of the predicament and land a hard kick to the body. Biernacki scored a takedown with less than one minute left in the round. Biernacki went from a mount to a back-mount and reigned down some punches and attempted a rear-naked choke. Boissonneault reversed the position and landed a punch of his own from top position as the horn sounded to end the first round. Ringside Report scores Round 1 for Daniel Boissonneault: 10-9

Round 2

Biernacki landed a right hand and attempted a takedown but was stuffed. Boissonneault pushed his opponent into the cage and landed some punches but Biernacki pushed him away and attempted another takedown. Boissonneault stuffed the attempt by backing into the cage. Boissonneault tried a takedown of his own but Biernacki attempted a guillotine choke which forced Bossionneault to release. Biernacki scored a takedown and transitioned into a back-mount. Biernacki sunk his hooks in and attempted a rear-naked choke but Boissonneault slipped out and landed on top in Biernacki’s guard. Biernacki attempted an omoplata but Boissonneault backed off and stood up. Biernacki scored a takedown and landed in Bossionneault’s guard. Biernacki worked some punches to the body and face but the action was stopped and the fighters stood up by the referee. Biernacki landed a knee to the body but Boissonneault fired back with some punches and a knee to the face. Biernacki fired back with left and right hands that hit their mark with little power. Biernacki scored a takedown and landed in Boissonneault’s guard as the round came to a close. Ringside Report scores Round 2 for Robert Cuman Biernacki: 10-9

Round 3

Daniel Boissonneault and Robert Cuman Biernacki squared off and landed some punches in the first 30 seconds of the final round. Boissonneault landed a kick to the body and attempted a takedown but Biernacki jumped guard and attempted a guillotine choke. Boissionneault held on and managed to escape his opponent’s grip. Boissonneault tried to work some punches in guard but Biernacki attempted a triangle choke. Boissonneault twisted his way out of the hold and also avoided a heel hook attempt. Boissonneault was able to land some punches in a mount position but was quickly swept. Biernacki worked some elbows in side-control but Boissonneault reversed the position and got into mount. Boissonneault landed one punch before being swept into an armbar attempt. Boissonneault escaped the hold and landed some punches from the top position as the fight came to an end. Yves Lemelin v. Rory McDonnell (160 lbs.)

Round 1

Lemelin scored with some punches early in the fight but was quickly taken down. McDonnell couldn’t maintain the position and was reversed by Lemelin. McDonnell locked in a triangle choke attempt that he transitioned into an armbar. Lemelin could not escape and had no choice but to submit.

Stéphane Pelletier v. Francois Haché-Lacombe (135 lbs.)

Round 1

Pelletier landed some punches and some leg kicks but was hit with some punching combos by Lacombe. Pelletier attempted a takedown but Lacombe pushed away and landed an uppercut. Pelletier continued to land leg kicks and hit some knees to the body. Pelletier landed a leg kick that tripped Lacombe to the mat. Lacombe quickly got back to his feet and landed an uppercut. ¨Pelletier was unable to score on a takedown attempt and was hit with a right cross and a knee to the body. Lacombe and Pelletier were both cut open. Lacombe landed a trip-takedown and landed in half-guard. Lacombe attempted a kimura armbar but was reversed. Pelletier landed some elbows in Lacombe’s guard. Lacombe attempted an armbar but was unable to lock it in. Lacombe was able to get back to his feet and the referee put a momentary stop to the action for a doctor to check on Lacombe. The doctor ruled that Lacombe’s cut was too severe to continue and the fight was stopped.

Martin Grandmont v. Kurt Southern (160 lbs.)

Round 1

Southern scored a quick takedown but Grandmont was able to get back to his feet. Southern held on to Grandmont’s waist and executed another takedown. Southern took his back but Grandmont  got out of the position and put Southern in his guard. Southern was able to get to his back again and attempt a rear-naked choke. Grandmont escaped the choke attempt but Southern stayed mounted him and transitioned into a back-mount. Southern locked in a rear-naked choke and this time was able to force the submission.

Guillaume Lamarche v. Randy Steinke (145 lbs.)

Round 1

Steinke is the first to connect with a leg kick and they circle each other. Steinke shoots for a takedown, pushes Lamarche into the cage and brings him to the ground. Steinke postures up and attempts to strike Lamarche as he pulls guard. Lamarche tries to pull Steinke’s arm in during a strike and reverses the position and is now on top. Lamarche is in half guard and continues to pass into side control. Lamarche connects with an elbow during a scrabble, and is now on his back. Lamarche pulls rubber guard and sinks in a triangle choke on Steinke for the victory.

Derek Gauthier v. Tyler Jackson (170 lbs.)

Round 1

Jackson avoids a pucnh from Gauthier and misses one too. Gauthier kicks Jackson in the oblique and Jackson pushes him up against the cage. Gauthier pushes Jackson off of him and connects with a high kick. Jackson comes bock with a big left and they clinch against the cage. Gauthier throws a couple of knees while pressed up against the cage and the referee breaks them up. Gauthier with two big right kicks to Jackson, who counters with a left punch. Jackson connects with a big right, and Gauthier misses an elbow and Gauthier is cut next to his right eye. Gauthier connects with a punch and kick combination and is countered by Jackson with some hard punches. They get into the Muay Thai clinch and Jackson pushes him against the cage to end the round. Ringside Report scores the round 10-9 Jackson.

Round 2

Gauthier throws a leg check, but Jackson checks it and rushes him with punches in bunches. Gauthier shoots for the takedown and is successful, but Jackson sinks in a guillotine. Gauthier breaks free of the guillotine and puts Jackson in one of his own as the stand. Jackson picks Gauthier up and slams him upside down. Jackson connects with some ground and pound in Gauthier’s guard. Gauthier pulls rubber guard and attempts a triangle. Jackson breaks free and they stand up. Jackson immediately pushes Gauthier against the cage and connects with shots in the clinch. Gauthier punches and elbow Jackson, releasing the clinch, allowing Jackson to take him down. Gauthier gets up against the cage, but Jackson picks him up and slams him again. Jackson connects with minimal ground and pound in Gauthier’s guard to end the round. Ringside report scores the round 10-9 Jackson.

Round 3

Gauthier connect with a few leg kicks and Jackson answers with punches in bunches dropping Gauthier. Jackson mounts Gauthier and is attempting to posture up and strike Gauthier. Jackson connects with some ground and pound and Gauthier makes it to his feet. Jackson has Gauthier’s back attempting the takedown. Gauthier elbows Jackson on the top of the head  and blocks a takedown attempt. Gauthier gets pushed up against the cage by Jackson and jumps into a guillotine to fails to sink it in and drops down. Jackson is holding Gauthier down as Gauthier punches Jackson’s ribs as the round ends. Ringside Report scores the round 10-9 Jackson.

Tyler Jackson def. Derek Gauthier via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) 3 Rounds
